FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) Citrix Systems Inc., which makes software and machinery that helps companies remotely manage their applications, said Wednesday it expects revenue in the current second quarter to come in flat at best.
Second-quarter sales could also fall slightly below the $377 million in revenue it posted in the year-ago quarter.
For the full year, Citrix said it expects sales to match 2008 levels, when it reported $1.58 billion in revenue.
On Wednesday afternoon, Citrix also announced earnings dropped 80 percent, weighed down by charges. But its adjusted profit beat Wall Street's expectations, as did sales, which fell 2 percent to $369.1 million.
Shares of Citrix gained $1.35, or 5.3 percent, to $27 in after-hours trading, after slipping 19 cents to close at $25.65.
