Central Vermont Issues 2009 Outlook

RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) — Central Vermont Public Service Corp., Vermont's largest electric utility, forecast 2009 earnings in line with last year's results on Friday.

The company predicted 2009 earnings in the range of $1.40 to $1.60 per share.

For 2008, Central Vermont booked a profit of $1.52 per share.

Central Vermont shares gained 11 cents to close at $18.68.
