Pessimists hold the lead over optimists in TheStreet.com's informal survey about the future of the Dow. Here are the results of yesterday's poll:

Where do you think the Dow Jones Industrial Average will end 2009?

Below 6000 (32.33%)

Between 6000 and 7500 (26.53% )

	Yes. The company must be supported to keep the financial system from collapsing. Yes. But the government needs to address the company's problems more quickly. No. The company needs to sort out its issues without more funds. No. Taxpayers have had enough of this. If it fails, it fails.
