Health stocks dipped back down Friday, in line with the broader markets, with the Nasdaq and Amex biotechnology indices losing 2.2% and 3.5%, respectively.

Among individual stocks, notable movers were:

Protherics(PTIL), up 17% at $6.15

Optimer(OPTR), up 13% at $8.25

Alpharma(ALO), up 8.8% at $33.18

Alkermes(ALKS), up 5.5% at $8.05

MedCath(MDTH), down 46% at $7.90

Synta Pharmaceuticals(SNTA), down 15.5% at $4.80

Senomyx(SNMX), down 13.3% at $3.32

Pharmaxis(PXSL), down 13% at $13.30

Amylin (AMLN), down 8% at $6.68
