Biotech and pharmaceutical stocks underperformed the broader markets Monday, with the Nasdaq and Amex biotechnology indices down by 3.2.% and 3.3%, respectively.

Among individual stocks, notable movers were:

Seattle Genetics (SGEN), up 6.4% at $8.62

Omrix Biopharmaceuticals(OMRI), up 5% at $15.48

Vertex(VRTX), up 4.9% at $22

Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), up 3.9% at $18.33.

Amylin(AMLN), down 14% at $8.44

Alnylam(ALNY), down 10.8% at $18.88

Nektar(NKTR), down 8.4% at $4.15

Alkermes(ALKS), down 8.3% at $9.11
