The Federal Reserve meeting is now in the rear-view mirror, so investors can get back to focusing on earnings Thursday.

A number of influential companies are on the schedule, including Google (GOOG), Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), Colgate-Palmolive (CL), CVS (CVS) and ImClone (IMCL).

Reports are also expected from Ericsson (ERIC), MasterCard (MA), MBIA (MBI), New York Times (NYT), Procter & Gamble (PG) and Anheuser-Busch (BUD), among others.

Meanwhile, the economic calendar will feature the employment cost index and initial jobless claims from the Labor Department, data on personal income and spending from the Commerce Department and the latest edition of the Chicago purchasing managers' index.
