Stan O'Neal is finally out at
Merrill Lynch (MER Quote) and the
Federal Reserve has now cut rates again, so what does that leave to worry about?
Quite a bit, actually. When Thursday arrives, traders will have yet another round of economic reports and still more corporate earnings to comb through.
The day's data lineup features personal income and spending for September from the Commerce Department, weekly initial jobless claims from the Labor Department and the Institute for Supply Management's October manufacturing index.
Also, throughout the session, automakers like
GM (GM Quote),
Ford (F Quote) and
Toyota (TM Quote) are expected to report their monthly sales.
The earnings calendar remains full, with numbers scheduled from
AstraZeneca (AZN Quote),
Blockbuster (BBI Quote),
CVS (CVS Quote),
Kodak (EK Quote),
Exxon Mobil (XOM Quote),
Sprint Nextel (S Quote) and
Callaway Golf (ELY Quote), just to name a few.
On
TheStreet.com, writer Eileen Gunn will tell you what you need to know if you want more ways to reduce energy costs and protect the environment from within your home.
Additionally, personal finance guru Jeffrey Strain will offer some advice for staying out of debt this year when the holidays roll around.
And if you're looking for an investing idea, David Peltier will tell you whether you should buy or stay away from
Teradyne (TER Quote), a supplier of semiconductor testing equipment.
