Monday's ETF Winners & Losers

The
iShares Dow Jones U.S. Broker-Dealers (IAI) was one of the few winners among exchange-traded funds Monday. The ETF added 1.4% as holding
E*Trade Financial (ETFC) added 1.7%. Recently, the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Broker-Dealers ETF was up 78 cents to $55.58.
Meanwhile, gains of 1% or more in
Apple (AAPL),
IBM (IBM) and
Dell (DELL) buoyed the
Internet Architecture HOLDRs (IAH). The ETF was lately higher by 36 cents, or 0.8%, at $44.68.
On the losing side, the
B2B Internet HOLDRs (BHH) ETF was among the worst decliners as holding
Checkfree (CKFR) gave back 1.3%. The ETF was off 3 cents, or 1.5%, to $2.04.
Semiconductor-related ETFs were also among the worst performers. Among individual names,
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) slid 1.3%,
Qualcomm (QCOM) eased 0.8%,
Intel (INTC) dipped 0.6% and
Texas Instruments (TXN) slipped 0.2%.
The
Ultra Semiconductor ProShares (USD) ETF was shedding 1.2% at $78.65. The
SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD) ETF eased 0.8% to $52.30. The
iShares Goldman Sachs Semiconductor (IGW) ETF was lower by 0.2% at $64.79. The
Semiconductor HOLDRs (SMH) ETF was recently down 0.2% to $37.
Bundled securities tracking silver were also losing ground, even as silver futures were holding steady at $13.58 an ounce. The
PowerShares DB Silver (DBS) ETF was shedding 23 cents, or 0.9%, to $26.46. The
iShares Silver Trust (SLV) was falling 72 cents, or 0.5%, to $134.17.
