Abercrombie & Fitch to Join S&P 500

Abercrombie & Fitch(ANF Quote) will replace Univision(UVN Quote) in the S&P 500 index after Wednesday's close.

Univision is being acquired by a private equity consortium in a deal expected to close on that date.

Shares of Abercrombie & Fitch rose nearly 2% in after-hours trading to $77.38; index funds mirroring the S&P 500 would be expected to buy shares to realign their portfolios.
