Fees, fees and more fees.

Ten bucks a month for checking. Fifteen to print checks.

Twenty for a cashier's check. Thirty-five if you "blow it" and overdraw your account -- all assessed repeatedly through the day if more checks come through.

And then they have the audacity to charge you $2 for using someone else's ATM.

Fed up? Sure.

It's little old you against the big corporate Goliath, one that gets away with almost anything, all in the interest of generating billions in profits.

And it's so subtle: You don't know what you're being smacked with unless you dissect your monthly statements under a magnifying glass.

It's time to do something about it. Here are my three ways to deal with these Goliaths.

Maybe these choices -- from taking a hike to cozying up to the Goliath you once so despised -- seem too broad. But it's all part of becoming a good consumer, and you may save a lot of money and grief in the process.

And you just might be treated with the dignity you deserve in the first place.
