Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Wednesday evening:
Disney(DIS Quote): "That stock itself is a screaming buy ... they have bought back a gigantic amount. Bob Iger is a proven winner. This stock goes higher. I would buy it right here."
Clearwire(CLWR Quote): "They priced this deal badly. With everybody in it, they got hurt. ... I think that Clearwire is a long-term winner. We are not gonna make any money on it now because all the flippers are in. It remains a buy."
Ameriprise Financial(AMP Quote): "Warren Buffett likes it. I like it. ... this is growning at 10%, just 14 times earnings. BuyBuyBuy [played about 50 times]!"
Savient Pharmaceuticals(SVNT Quote): "They got a phase III deal coming. It's all good. I never liked Savient for the earnings. It's all in the pipeline." Cramer prefers
Celgene(CELG Quote),
Genzyme(GENZ Quote) and
Gilead Sciences(GILD Quote).
Patterson-UTI Energy(PTEN Quote): "We are not gonna buy domestic drillers, because we are offshore. PTEN is a bear." Cramer's choices are
Transocean(RIG Quote),
GlobalSantaFe(GSF Quote) and
Halliburton(HAL Quote). Cramer has Transocean and Halliburton in his
Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust.
Washington Group(WGII Quote): "If you want to be in that business. ... you gotta go buy
Foster Wheeler(FWLT Quote). They don't have a lot of overrun."
Walgreen(WAG Quote): "Anytime you can get that stock below 45, you pull the trigger. The best safety in the retail business."
Marsh & McLennan(MMC Quote): "There's no earnings momentum there. ... They need a new guy at the top or they should sell themselves. Marsh Mac is a no-go."
Kinross Gold(KGC Quote): "Is a sale. ... We want to be in
Yamana Gold(AUY Quote)."
*For all you home-gamers, a 'mon-back opportunity means Cramer would back up the figurative truck and load up on a stock.
