Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Thursday evening:
Netease.com(NTES): "I don't trust the Communist Chinese, including Netease and
Baidu(BIDU).
Anglo American(AAUK): "I was recommending it at 25.6 ... it's doubled." Cramer talked about it during his "gentleman farmer" interview on
60 Minutes with Dan Rather. That said, Cramer prefers
Yamana Gold(AUY).
IntercontinentalExchange(ICE): "I think you should skedaddle. You've got a huge gain in IntercontinentalExchange. ... Take it off the table!"
IPG Photonics(IPGP): "This is a laser stock, but when I do laser I'm going
Rofin-Sinar(RSTI)."
AirTran(AAI): "I think that this is a second-rate player. ... We like
Continental Air(CAL) on this program, because it was the first to turn and the first to actually run like a business."
NovaStar Financial(NFI): "Still not too late too sell NFI. ... You are swimming where you can't see the bottom. ... It's a train wreck, and I want it sold."
Arris Group(ARRS): "One of our cable plays ... at 15 bucks, but I got to stick with it because the crowd likes the merger [with Tandberg] and I like the earnings."
Crocs(CROX): "Bears trying to push it down. ... Crocs is going to roar back. ... Still the best trade around for the next six months."
Gardner Denver(GDI): "This is a great compressor company, not unlike
Hanover Compressor(HC). It's bullish."
Florida Rock(FRK): "You are not an arbitrager. You sell Florida Rock right now."
MRV Communications(MRVC): "It's a split-up play ... $5 of pin action. I want you to hold it. One of these components plays that I think is going to get carried up" along with
Cisco(CSCO).
Syngenta(SYT): Cramer likes it along with
Bunge(BG),
Deere(DE),
Monsanto(MON) and
Landec(LNDC), which he sees as "corn is energy" plays.
*For all you home-gamers, a 'mon-back opportunity means Cramer would back up the figurative truck and load up on a stock.
