Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Wednesday evening:
Qualcomm (QCOM Quote): "Has finally gotten it together. ... you can actually own this. ... finally going ... to the mid-40s."
BJ Services (BJS Quote): "Holy cow is this business on fire. ... I dont like BJ as much as RIG (
Transocean(RIG Quote)). ... I would swap out of BJ ... and go into RIG. Much, much cheaper." Cramer owns Transocean for his
Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust.
Melco PBL Entertainment (MPEL Quote): "Finally we got this thing bouncing. ... This stock has been .. a living, breathing nightmare. ... first day, today, it got its sea legs. I would hold onto it."
Hudson City Bancorp (HCBK Quote): "The best lender in the Northeast ... [but] we can't do it until we see cuts [by the
Federal Reserve]."
Expeditors International of Washington (EXPD Quote): "I didn't like that quarter ... swap out of your play and go into
CH Robinson Worldwide (CHRW Quote)."
NutriSystem (NTRI Quote): "I didn't like what they did ... they lowballed the numbers. ... they surprised to the upside of the lowball. ... I want to ring the register.. ... It's great that Dan Marino is back to his game weight."
Halliburton (HAL Quote): "I have been patient. ... If they don't use the spinoff of KBR to buy back a lot of stock, then I will have to eat my hat."
Fortress (FIG Quote): "I want to ring the register FIG ... overvalued." Cramer said he would much rather own
Goldman (GS Quote), or
Sears (SHLD Quote), which he does for AA Plus. "I need more of a mosiac."
Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO Quote): "Been going up, pulled back from 50 ... I think you gotta not only stick with it, I think you gotta buy more. ... I want to buy TMO."
*For all you home-gamers, a 'mon-back opportunity means Cramer would back up the figurative truck and load up on a stock.
