Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Tuesday evening:
Crystallex(KRY): "I have walked away from Crystallex and endorsed
Yamana(AUY)." Cramer said he has done so because President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, where Crystallex does its gold mining, "has proven to be a recalcitrant, pseudo-Communist."
TiVo(TIVO): "The bottom line is TiVo is Don'tBuyDon'tBuy."
Hydril(HYDL): "This is in pressure-controlled products. ... As long as oil is north of 40 [a barrel], you are going to be safe there. ... I am buying that stock. Seems to be a floor under which the OIH (
Oil Service HOLDRs(OIH)) stocks won't go below."
DirecTV(DTV): "Happen to like DirecTV ... happen to like
EchoStar(DISH). ... If
AT&T(T) were serious, it would buy one of those companies."
Advanced Semiconductor(ASX): "Another also-ran semi play. ... I do not want to own the semis here. There is not a single semi I want to own here other than
Marvell(MRVL)," which Cramer sees as benefiting from
Apple's(AAPL) iPhone business. Cramer owns Marvell for his
Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust.
Select Comfort(SCSS): "I have stayed away from the bed business, frankly. ... I am putting a pox on all beds."
CenterPoint Energy(CNP): "Just OK ... 3.5% yield. ... Basically I like the utilities here, so I can't dis it. Let me just give it a Don'tBuyDon'tBuy."
Nuance Communications(NUAN): "I say absolutely not. I say no to speech recognition."
Jones Soda(JSDA): "You know, I like JSDA. ... That's an up stock. I still can't believe
Pepsi(PEP) hasn't taken a run at them."
