Regis Same Store Sales Fall

Hair salon operator Regis(RGS Quote) said Wednesday that its revenue for the first quarter increased 9.4% to $639.25 million. The company's same-store sales for the same period decreased 0.3%.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call were expecting revenue of $631.43 million in the most recent quarter.

Service revenue increased 11.1% to $434.53 million and product revenue increased 6.4% to $184.95 million. The revenue from royalties and fees increased 1.3% to $19.77 million in the first quarter, the Edina, Minn.-based company said.

Domestic same store sales fell 0.2% and international same store sales fell 1.1%, the company reported.
