HCA's Chart Is a Picture of Health

HCA (HCA:NYSE - news - commentary - research - analysis) is really a simple story. And that story is all about risk and reward. That is, the best time to buy is when your risk is low and your potential reward is high. For HCA you have that exact situation if you assume that Oct. 24 was a blowoff low. And is that a good assumption? Probably, as we know it was a big down day, coming after a number of down days. Even better, volume was huge. Add those together and you have the recipe for a blowoff low.

But there's more. Not only was Oct. 24 a probable low, but it also marked hardy support for HCA.

All of which says, if you buy HCA in the mid-30s, it is unlikely to fall much further, but very likely to rise a lot more!
