Daytraders Lend Their Support

The positive open is holding so far and traders are active in some of their favorite groups, such as solar energy, fertilizers and China stocks. If we can hold up for a while, that may induce a bit more day-trading action and give the indices a bit of traction.

After bouncing over the past week, gold and silver are now rolling back over and the shorts look to be pressing now. Oil is also taking a rest after a good bounce. Technically, this group looks vulnerable to the downside as well.

I have a couple of small trades going, but its all short-term intraday stuff and not lending itself to anything substantial.
