Penetration of direct-to-consumer is increasing. Web site visits are up 31%, to 15.3 million visits. Product reviews and You Tube -- owned by Google (GOOG - commentary - Cramer's Take) -- generated 17,000 views for product clips.
By location, the Northeast was the strongest, followed in descending order by the West Coast, Midwest and South. The company is committed to European expansion with mid 2010 as the target for opening its first store over there.
Urban Outfitters opened 12 new stores in the quarter -- including one Anthropologie, three Free People, seven Urban Outfitters and its first Terrain Garden Center.

Scott Rothbort has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. In 2002, Rothbort founded LakeView Asset Management, LLC, a registered investment advisor based in Millburn, N.J., which offers customized individually managed separate accounts, including proprietary long/short strategies to its high net worth clientele.
