Not a bad close, and with Disney (DIS - commentary - Cramer's Take) after the bell shining, it looks like the bears didn't have the ammo I thought. Not only that, but Las Vegas Sands (LVS - commentary - Cramer's Take), which has been on a tear, actually got a reason to run, with a good quarter after the bell.
Plus, the shorts were out in full force against Disney, stoked by analysts who may not have realized how aggressively Bob Iger and company cut costs so those reduced revenues still produced a nice upside. LVS? The bears jumped back on after the double. What's their next move? Probably a cover. Meanwhile, tech? Can you believe it? Apple (AAPL - commentary - Cramer's Take), Research In Motion (RIMM - commentary - Cramer's Take), Amazon (AMZN - commentary - Cramer's Take) and Google (GOOG - commentary - Cramer's Take) up again! These gravity-defiers must be killing the shorts, and each day they gain more adherents. Rough sledding close for the bears. After-hours worse. Looks like they had nothing after all. At the time of publication, Cramer had no positions in stocks mentioned.
