AT&T (T - commentary - Cramer's Take) was at $33. Verizon (VZ - commentary - Cramer's Take) was at $35. Schlumberger (SLB - commentary - Cramer's Take) was at $72. Exxon (XOM - commentary - Cramer's Take) was at $77.

Think about that. Think about those prices. Think that someone actually sold those stocks at those levels, perhaps in panic, perhaps because of margin calls.

That's remarkable. And it is a reminder once again that you can't get so discouraged that you miss opportunity. You must always be on your game, must never give up and always be on the lookout.

Because this was the greatest opportunity I have seen to make money in many, many years. Random musings: If the dividends are safe, the stocks are going to be bought. That's what people are saying about all of these banks. If they can pay -- and with rate cuts, they almost all can -- they are being bought.

It makes sense. When the Fed reflates, these banks begin to make money hand over fist.

And that's where we are.

At the time of publication, Cramer had no positions in stocks mentioned.
