These financials have become impenetrable. E*Trade's (ETFC - commentary - Cramer's Take) worthless, but is it? Isn't that brokerage business fabulous? Yes, but the negative worth of that portfolio is just overwhelming and should wipe out the company.
MBIA's (MBI - commentary - Cramer's Take) down a ton -- but PMI (PMI - commentary - Cramer's Take) is up? AIG (AIG - commentary - Cramer's Take) is getting crushed and again seemingly going back to the low $50s. Washington Mutual (WM - commentary - Cramer's Take) hangs in but Countrywide (CFC - commentary - Cramer's Take) goes down. The whole thing has become totally ungameable. We are at a crossroads where the day-to-day can't be fathomed. Find the ones you like and sell the rest. It's only going to get more difficult as we go toward the Fed meeting.
