Not a Great Moment to Be Short

Shorts can't stop shorting? Or covering? When you see a Crocs (CROX - commentary - Cramer's Take) go up like this, day after day, you know that's shorts coming in and taking it up or trying to short and cover again. The stock still has only two major research houses writing on it. My rule is that until there are four, you are still in great shape.

Apple (AAPL - commentary - Cramer's Take)? Every mutual fund wants into this one -- it's easy to take up and mark.

Same with Cummins (CMI - commentary - Cramer's Take). Another classic no-news mark-up; what a great way to show you figured out infrastructure. Defense stocks, too.

Tech wants to go higher, with Nokia (NOK - commentary - Cramer's Take) and H-P (HPQ - commentary - Cramer's Take) shining. People are buying some losers, too, such as Motorola (MOT - commentary - Cramer's Take), which is simply too low to stay down here much longer.

Don't forget that we are seeing markups of China stocks, too.

And Garmin (GRMN - commentary - Cramer's Take) and Research In Motion (RIMM - commentary - Cramer's Take) are breaking out.

Just lots of goodies, lots of battles being won by the longs.

Not a great moment to short.

At the time of publication, Cramer was long Hewlett-Packard.
