Now, though, because we've moved up so much, even great quarters like General Electric's (GE - commentary - Cramer's Take) don't resonate with this crowd. And that was a great quarter, regardless of whether I receive a paycheck from the peacock or not. Tough to get traction here ex-resources. But let me give you some good news about resources. I just spoke in front of 1,000 people, chiefly about oil stocks, and I was kind of mesmerized after that. Not only did no one in the crowd -- rich marketing people -- own any of the oil stocks, but all of them to a woman said that they already had missed the move.
That's a recipe for still buying on any weakness, even the minor-league weakness that we see today. I don't want to outthink this market. One area works: energy. The others, as far as I am concerned, are strictly short squeezes. Random musings: Hope you are getting ready for the Financial Fair. I now am going to drop back on talking about it a bit because I have vowed to talk individually to everyone who attends, and I think that if we get too many people, I am going to be there until midnight!
