Welcome Steve Birenberg

I'm pleased to welcome Street Insight colleague Steve Birenberg, CFA, to RealMoney. Steve will bring you his insights into the media stocks that are making waves and the names that aren't on your radar yet but should be. Catch his first column on the site now by clicking here.

When he's not writing about media stocks, he's serving as president and chief investment officer of Northlake Capital Management, LLC. Northlake specializes in managing equity portfolios using a combination of exchange-traded funds and special situation stocks.

That's just the latest chapter in his 25 years of managing portfolios and researching stocks. Media's his love, but his research experience has included almost every economic sector. Before forming Northlake, Steve gathered that experience as a principal, director of research and portfolio manager at Gofen and Glossberg, LLC, and a trust investment officer at Star Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He earned his bachelor's of science in business administration from Miami University, Ohio. Not only a student, Steve has taught at the Study Seminar for Financial Analysts, a CFA preparatory program in Windsor, Ontario.
