A Tradeable Trend

Just like seemingly every other day this year, the market is spending some time with the Nazz in the green and the DJIA and S&P 500 in the red. Oil stocks are getting sold once again; tech is the only sector with a steady bid.

That's been a bankable, tradeable trend for the past few weeks. I don't think we should anticipate an end to that trend, but rather trade it while it still exists. I'm a buyer of tech.

In that vein, I noted Sun Micro's (SUNW - commentary - Cramer's Take) recent strength and am now requesting a bunch of reports in that name to read through. Has the turn there finally come? I'll let you know if and when I do anything.

We just had a great chuckle in my office as we talked for the 19th time today about how cool Apple's (AAPL - commentary - Cramer's Take) iPhone is, and one of my associates, Matt, picked up the brown Microsoft (MSFT - commentary - Cramer's Take) Zune in the middle of one of my sentences. Anybody want to guess how much a Zune will be retailing for in six months? My best guess is $99. What a joke the Zune instantly became yesterday.

At the time of publication, the firm in which Willard is a partner was net long Apple and Microsoft, although positions can change at any time and without notice.

Apple certainly helped the day end well, but the rally was broader than that.
