While international ETF investors have traditionally been forced to hold funds that track companies across a broad spectrum of sectors, Emerging Global Advisers has made a name for itself with offerings that target very specific slices of foreign markets.

The company currently offers a small collection of international funds, including Emerging Markets Energy Titans (EEO - commentary - Trade Now) and Emerging Markets Metals & Mining Titans (EMT - commentary - Trade Now), which provide investors exposure to a single sector from an international perspective.

On Wednesday, Emerging Global Advisers further expanded its fund family with the launch of its Emerging Markets Financial Titans Index Fund (EFN - commentary - Trade Now). This fund tracks a basket of 30 financial companies from 10 different nations including China, Brazil, India and South Africa.

According to the company's Web site, the fund is designed to track companies that are serve the investment and banking needs of the nations' emerging middle classes and growing affluent populations.

Some of the ETF's top holdings include China Life Insurance (LFC - commentary - Trade Now), Standard Bank Group and Itau Unibanco Banco (ITUB - commentary - Trade Now).
