 Technical Analysis
  • We could be down 8% in January but up 25% all around by year-end 2006.
  • The Nasdaq could go either way right now, so as usual, it's best to wait for a breakout.
  • Plus Google, Apple, the Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index, the T2108 and Newmont.

Just a heads up: I go into holiday lockdown mode starting tomorrow, as I take the reminder of my 2005 vacation days.

Therefore, here's a closing thought on '05:
It's been one tricky, tough year and I'm glad to be through it!

As for '06, here is my fearless prediction:
January stinks. Like down 5% to 8% stinks.

However, the rest of that year looks like it'll be pretty darn spiffy and we'll be up all around about 25% by next Xmas!

Today, a Very Special Chartman, as I wrap the year with a "greatest hits" issue.

Today we feature Google (GOOG - commentary - Cramer's Take), Apple (AAPL - commentary - Cramer's Take), the Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index (OSX), the T2108, Newmont Mining (NEM - commentary - Cramer's Take) and the Nasdaq Composite Index.

Charts produced by TC2000, which is a registered trademark of Worden Brothers Inc.

And that is the final word from Bethesda, Md., where -- finally! -- I noticed Verizon is offering the RAZR phone -- but online only at this point.

Have a great holiday season and a terrific New Year!
