Stocks like McDonald's (MCD - commentary - Trade Now) shouldn't be going up almost $3 on nothing but an upgrade. Analog Devices (ADI - commentary - Trade Now) says that inventories are low and business is better: another $3. Coca-Cola (KO - commentary - Trade Now) and Procter (PG - commentary - Trade Now) seem poised for a similar move.
I continue to be amazed at these moves that this market is capable of producing. It is almost as if everyone is short everything and any good news means a squeeze. But these are huge market capitalization stocks. Huge. Just had to point out this horse ... it is amazing. Random musings: Nat gas people keep referring to Obama and talking about how he is about to come out for the fuel. Rahm Emmanuel has said he likes it. Also, some are saying it can't go lower. But I have heard that. No matter -- Anadarko (APC - commentary - Trade Now) breaking up above the print price might be the most bullish thing for the group I have seen in a while! Nice comeback!
