Apple (AAPL - commentary - Cramer's Take) and Research In Motion (RIMM - commentary - Cramer's Take) have not lost their magic. They are the two generals that are still able to dazzle the market and lead us.

I wish I could say the same for some NYSE stock. We just don't have anything to lead us other than oil and gas, and that's not cutting it. The dismantling of the financial complex is so severe that even the UBS (UBS - commentary - Cramer's Take) statement of no capital raise and the CIT (CIT - commentary - Cramer's Take) blueprint are still not enough.

But let's go back to the beginning of the day. We had an amazingly horrible opening where RIMM and Apple were down big. We had a sense that today was a doomsday following horrible European numbers.

It didn't come true.

If I were a bull on more than oil and gas, I would be buying, not selling, based on this performance.

At the time of publication, Cramer had no positions in the stocks mentioned.
