The bears got to the market at the close. Impressive. They keyed on the winners, the Apples (AAPL - commentary - Cramer's Take) and the MasterCards (MA - commentary - Cramer's Take), and when you knock the generals down, you have a real shot at crushing the army.

All that said, I liked the action today, given that one of the real stalwarts in this market had been Deere (DE - commentary - Cramer's Take) -- which I like very much. And the retail action has defied me. I still think that post-Kohl's (KSS - commentary - Cramer's Take) tomorrow, we get a rollover.

Impressive knockdown. Leaving people with a bad taste.

Score one for the bears, even as I feel that the Fannie (FNM - commentary - Cramer's Take)-Freddie (FRE - commentary - Cramer's Take) victory overwhelms most of the last minutes of negativity.

At the time of publication, Cramer had no positions in stocks mentioned.
