Tight Supply Lines

Can there be too much good news? Microsoft (MSFT - commentary - Cramer's Take) puts up such good numbers that it feels like they were sandbagging. Just when you thought that Baidu (BIDU - commentary - Cramer's Take) was rolling over and playing dead, it comes alive to claw whatever shorts are left.

Only MEMC (WFR - commentary - Cramer's Take) joins Akamai (AKAM - commentary - Cramer's Take) and Cymer (CYMI - commentary - Cramer's Take) as real disappointers.

As per this most recent market, I would expect that Microsoft up a dollar and Baidu up 26 are both bargains. This new phenomenon of institutions simply not being able to get enough stock in during one session to get their full positions on is a dream that periodically the bulls -- including this one -- has had -- the dream of the supply shortage. We have one now. There's not enough stock to go around for the institutions that need to put money to work.

Mind you, this is all happening without retail participation. If that were to change, all of these prices would seem like bargains. All of them.

Random musings: I think the turn in Ford (F - commentary - Cramer's Take) is the real thing and it should be bought. ... I saw signs of life in Halliburton (HAL - commentary - Cramer's Take). Brunswick (BC - commentary - Cramer's Take) seems like more of a short squeeze, but I respect the power of a 10% move. ... Congratulations to one of us, James Altucher, for his fabulous work on Stockpickr.

At the time of publication, Cramer was long Halliburton.
