Indices a-Go-Go

Capital Spectator sums up every equity index for November.

The Secrets of His Success

Mark Cuban has been doing some great blogging over the past year or so, though I get bored with his posts on basketball, since I don't follow the game at all (Cuban owns the Dallas Mavericks). He's compiled his various posts on success and motivation -- they're worth reading and rereading.

Googlewacked

On Searchblog, John Battelle writes about a case in which police used cache memory of Google searches to solve a murder:

Prosecutors claim a Mac specialist on trial in connection with the killing of his wife did a Google search for the words: "neck snap break" and "hold" before she was killed.

Out There

This is a great blog. Cool Google Maps combines Google map technology with just about every map-like search you might want to do, including:

toEat Map: Wanna try something new to eat other than switching the type of lunch meat in your sandwich every day? This cool Google map shows all the places to eat around your address that you may or may not have thought of. Mmmmmm.

Toys!

A lot of neat under-$100 electronic gadgets that could be good Christmas gifts are listed on MAKE blog.

Passage to America

This isn't a blog, but my sister Lauren has found a neat Web site. Ellis Island is selling scanned versions of ship passenger manifests. She found the manifest from the ship that our grandfather came to America on in 1923.
