IBM Buys Canadian Firm

IBM (IBM Quote) reached a deal to acquire Net Integration Technologies, a privately held company based in Toronto that offers business server software for small and medium businesses.

Financial details were not disclosed. Net Integration's server software includes email, file management, directory services, back-up and recovery, office productivity tools and other business software.

The transaction should close in the first quarter.
