CDW (CDWC - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) agreed to acquire privately held Berbee Information Networks, an IT services provider, for around $175 million. The acquisition should add 5 cents to CDW's earnings in 2007. CDW expects to close the purchase by the end of October. For the 12 months ended July 31, Berbee's revenue was $390 million, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $22 million. CDW, a seller of technology products and services to businesses, governments and educational institutions, was losing 1 cent to $62.99.
Sales for the month were $620.2 million, up 7.5% from the year-ago figure.
Shares jump 10%.
Average daily sales rise 6.8%.
