EDS Names Finance Chief

EDS (EDS Quote) named Ron Vargo chief financial officer.

Vargo has served as EDS' corporate treasurer since 2004 and as interim co-CFO since March of 2006.

"After a careful evaluation of both internal and external candidates, we felt Ron was the best choice as our new chief financial officer," said Mike Jordan, EDS chairman and chief executive officer. "Since becoming treasurer in 2004 and interim co-CFO six months ago, Ron has consistently demonstrated his strengths as both a financial and strategic leader. We are confident he has the qualities necessary to help drive EDS forward as we continue to lay the foundation for future growth."
