Brocade Dips 3.9% Despite Signs of Upswing

Brocade(BRCD Quote) was down 3.9% in preopen Island trading. Reuters reported late Thursday that the storage-network parts maker's financial chief made positive comments about March sales "on the sidelines" at a Lehman Brothers conference.

According to the news agency, CFO Michael Byrd said February was weak, as had been expected, but the first week of March was better.
