JNI (JNIC), a maker of data storage components, was down 15.9% in preopen Island trading after falling more than 35% Friday.The company confirmed its CEO's previously announced retirement plan and said late Friday that it is unaware of any plan by its biggest customer Sun Microsystems (SUNW) to phase out JNI technology, other than recent public statements which may indicate an eventual change.
