Swype Keyboard App Predicts And Can Now Learn
First Major App Upgrade Since Purchase By Nuance
By Gary Krakow
The Swype software keyboard app, so very popular with Android users, worldwide (55 languages and counting), has taken a big leap forward.
The wizards at Nuance have added some interesting new stuff to their just-released, next-generation Skype Beta for Android devices. There are many new features but the biggest news is the addition of the ability to learn..
Swype not only predicts the word you were trying to scribble with your finger – it also now learns from what you do and remembers for the next time.
Swype can also be asked to look through your email and messages to spot words/phrases that it doesn't know so that it's ready for the next time you need to use it.
It's all very cool.
If you'd like to try it (remember it's a Beta) the app is available for downloading now from Nuance's Swype site.
