Samsung's latest top-of-the-line superphone is near.
Today, Samsung announced that their next-gen handsets would soon be sold by five cellular carriers – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon – beginning later this month.
The phone's basic design will be very similar for each carrier. They all have a dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen and run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They'll be available in either Pebble Blue or Marble White.
There are two levels of storage available from some carriers:
Sprint will sell the 16GB model for $199.99 and the 32 GB phone for $249.99.
T-Mobile will sell both memory levels in both colors. No prices announced.
U.S. Cellular has announced they'll sell the 16 GB model in both colors and the 32 GB model in White. Prices not yet announced.
No details, so far, from AT&T or Verizon on their upcoming models.
All carriers should be taking orders in the next few weeks with delivery to customers scheduled before the end of the month.
