Galaxy S-III Introduction Is Expected In London

An email invitation arrived this morning, It's for a smartphone announcement in London.
Samsung says they'll be introducing their next-generation Galaxy series of superphones in an early evening event on May 3. That's early evening London time or early afternoon in New York's time zone.
The rumors have been flying for weeks about what might be called the Samsung Galaxy S-III.
It's interesting that Samsung is choosing to hold the “Samsung Unpacked” announcement in London on the 3rd when the next, large cell phone industry show, CTIA, begins five days later in New Orleans.
Guess Samsung didn't want the announcement to get lost in the rush of a big industry show. Or, maybe they wanted to upstage Research In Motion's similarly-timed Blackberry World confab.
Or, maybe it's something that just can't wait.
