It's 2012. And people don't just watch over-the-air TV anymore. There are dozens of different methods for getting your home TV fix: cable, satellite, Netflix, Roku, iTunes, etc. And that's only scratching the surface.

Wouldn't it be great to have one, handy-dandy place to see all your choices at any given time? Sorta like an all-knowing TV guidance system for today's viewing habits.

Enter NextGuide – a new app from a company called Dijit Media. According to their press release, NextGuide helps answers the burning question “What should I watch next?”

NextGuide combines listing from any live programming sources (of your choice) that offer live TV shows and movies which you might want to watch on your TV or an iPad. It also adds social networking features to the mix.

The big difference here is that unlike other guides or viewing services, NextGuide can not only help you find the programming you want to see – but also directly launch shows into other viewing apps. It even helps DirectTV satellite customer record shows on their DVRs for later viewing.

NextGuide is available for iPads and supports Apple hi-res Retina displays. And, you can download it free from the App Store.
