IBM Supercomputer To Boost Cancer Research

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York has teamed up with IBM, tapping the tech giant’s Watson supercomputer to boost treatment and research. On Thursday, the world-famous cancer treatment center announced that it’s working with Big Blue on a tool built on Watson, which will provide medical professionals with improved access to cancer data and practices.

I’m heading back down to Silicon Valley today on the final day of my West Coast trip. After spending time with Cisco yesterday, I will be meeting up with another hardware heavyweight, HP, at the company’s Cupertino offices.
First up is a meeting with Bruce Dahlgren, senior vice president of managed enterprise solutions for HP’s Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), who will be explaining how the tech giant is building deeper relationships with enterprise customers.
