RealMoney Changes Are in the Air
By David Sterman

Greetings!

I'd like to update you on some new features on our site. As always, these ongoing changes are aimed at making the site more valuable to you and easier to use.

As you may have noticed, we recently introduced a "Daily Archives" button. This allows you to go back and read our stories if you missed a particular day. We also began offering our proprietary quantitative ratings system as a complimentary bonus to our subscribers. Keep an eye out for more industry and company reports in the weeks ahead.

But I'm most excited about our new approach to delivering you a concentration of stories every day. Until now, you haven't been able to easily schedule your visits to our site. Now, you can come to expect your favorite stories to appear at the same time every week.

Every day, you can still expect a regular contribution from our leading writers, such as Helene Meisler, Jim Cramer, Tony Crescenzi, Vince Farrell and Steve Smith. And we'll likely have our usual five to seven general stories every day augmenting that great team. In addition, you'll get a heavy dose of theme-based content.

Although we will likely fine-tune this schedule in coming weeks and months, here's a general sense of what you can expect:

On Mondays, look for stories focused on sectors and industries. We'll also be highlighting stories written by you, the reader. (We're calling this "Readers' Tales," but more on this later).

On Tuesdays, we're focusing on Technical Analysis, offering three or four TA stories to augment our daily TA coverage.

Wednesdays will see a panoply of alternative investment ideas, focusing on the economy, options, commodities and other asset classes.

On Thursdays, we're focusing on fundamental stock picks -- of the long and short variety.

We'll be looking ahead on Fridays. In addition to my "Five-Day Forecast" and our "Editors' Picks" story, we'll be running several other stories that focus on the week ahead. We'll also be delivering Adam Feuerstein's biotech mailbag and Steve Smith's options mailbag.

In addition, we'll be answering your questions in a new story we call "Readers' Mailbag." If you've got a question about a story you read, we'll try to answer it in this story. We can't get to all of your questions, but will try to find five or six every week that help sharpen your investing knowledge. If you want to ask a question, please send an email to RMmailbag@thestreet.com.

As I mentioned earlier, we're also launching "Readers' Tales." Send us your analysis of an investing topic. Each week, we'll publish our favorite story. And let us know if you want your name and city/state to be published, or if you'd just like to be anonymous. You won't be paid for these stories, but we want to give you the chance to let your thoughts be heard. If you write about investing topics, we'll be glad to take a look. Please send your stories to ReadersTales@thestreet.com.

We hope you like the changes we're putting in place. And stay tuned, because we have plans to add more tools and features, along with thought-provoking new writers. As always, you can reach me with your comments at RMeditor@thestreet.com.

Regards,

Dave Sterman
