Nichols rejoined TheStreet.com in May 2005 after spending 18 months with Bloomberg News. He previously worked for TheStreet.com from October 2000 until September 2003, last serving as associate editor. Before his first stint with TheStreet.com, he worked for four years on the spot news desk at Dow Jones News Service. From 1995 to 1996, he was a reporter for the Mountain Xpress, a weekly newspaper in Asheville, N.C.

Nichols has a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
