Sam Patel is the manager of mutual fund research for the TheStreet.com Ratings and is based in Boston.

Patel started his investment career in 1994 as a senior analyst for Lincoln Indicators, a private risk-management firm based in Melbourne Australia. Starting in 1999, Patel worked in Boston for Baring Asset Management, Needham & Company and Digitas Inc. In November 2005 Sam joined Weiss Ratings, which was acquired in August 2006 by TheStreet.com.

Patel holds a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia and is a CFA Charterholder. He is a Registered Investment Advisor in the state of Massachusetts.
