Shevory joined TheStreet.com in November 2005 after freelancing for BusinessWeek, the New York Times, Wine & Spirits, Investor's Business Daily, and the New York Post. She previously covered real estate and the wine industry, among other topics, for the Seattle Times from 2002 to 2005. Before that, she covered Texas politics for the Associated Press in Austin, ran an English-language newspaper and wrote for the AP, Dow Jones and BusinessWeek in St. Petersburg, Russia. Shevory served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Spanish and Russian linguist. She's a native Texan and has a geology degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
