Meredith Derby first started at TheStreet.com as an editorial assistant in August 2002. She came to the company from TechTarget.com, where she worked for two years -- first as an assistant editor and then as a news writer, covering Windows 2000 systems management.

Prior to TechTarget.com, Meredith worked for a high-tech public relations firm and was a news writer and an editor for a Boston-based community newspaper. She also interned at several Boston-based publications in editorial and marketing positions.

Meredith holds a B.S. in magazine journalism from Boston University. .
