FindWhat.com (FWHT Quote) slipped late Monday after the e-commerce company posted a third-quarter profit and guided lower for the fourth quarter.
For its third quarter ended Sept. 30, the Fort Myers, Fla., company earned $4.8 million, or 15 cents a share. That's up from the year-ago $2.8 million, or 12 cents a share, and a penny better than the Wall Street analyst consensus estimate quoted by Thomson First Call. Revenue more than tripled, hitting $58.3 million, up from the year-ago $17.8 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose to $11.2 million from $4.9 million a year earlier. FindWhat forecast fourth-quarter earnings of 14 to 17 cents a share on revenue of $58 million to $65 million. Analysts had expected earnings of 16 cents a share on sales of $64.6 million.
