ROCHESTER, N.Y.(TheStreet) -- While the retail sector remained relatively flat on Thursday, there were some big movers within the sector.
Rite Aid(RAD Quote) rallied for the second day in a row, soaring 8% to end the day at $2.24. Abercrombie & Fitch(ANF Quote) grew 3% to $34.02, after Jefferies & Co.'s Randal Konik said business at the teen retailer is stabilizing and it has huge potential for international growth. Denim retailer Buckle(BKE Quote) climbed 4% to $29.66, Coldwater Creek(CWTR Quote) rose 7% to $8.53 and Pacific Sunwear of California(PSUN Quote) increased 7% to close at $5.58. But there were also several losers. Dress Barn(DBRN Quote) sank 5% to $17.23 after the women's retailer provided a dismal fiscal 2010 outlook. The company said it expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.10 to $1.20 a share, lower than the $1.24 a share analysts predict. Other notable decliners include Best Buy(BBY Quote), which was off 2.5% to $37.59, Zale(ZLC Quote), which tanked 8.5% to $7.31, and Office Depot(ODP Quote), which fell 5.5% to $6.38.
