NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- After the market close, Stockpickr updates a series of portfolios called Today's Lists with information from that trading day. It's a useful tool for getting a quick picture of how the market moved that day.

Here's a sampling of what made Today's Lists today, Aug. 24: 52-Week Highs: Among Monday's 52-week highs was Charlotte Russe(CHIC Quote), which rose to $17.40 before closing up 25.9% for the day at $17.36, after announcing that it would be taken private. Starbucks(SBUX Quote) continued its ascent, hitting a new high of $19.85 before closing down 2.4% for the day at $19.24. For more stocks that hit new highs, visit the 52-Week-Highs list. Biggest % Gainers: Fannie Mae(symbol Quote) and Freddie Mac(FRE Quote) both saw large gains on Monday, of 41.7% and 18.5%, respectively, on huge volume after the Fed's Friday announcement that it had bought some of the companies' debt. Unusual Options Activity: Stocks experiencing unusually high options activity included Hewlett-Packard(HPQ Quote) and Intel(INTC Quote). Analyst Upgrades: Monday's upgrades included Advanced Micro Devices(AMD Quote), which Citigroup bumped to buy from hold; Capital One Financial(COF Quote), which Barclays upgraded to overweight from equal-weight; and Cheesecake Factory(CAKE Quote), which got a boost to neutral from underweight from Piper Jaffray. Analyst Downgrades: Deutsche Bank downgraded Nokia(NOK Quote) to hold from buy on Monday, while Citigroup knocked Toll Brothers(TOL Quote) down to hold from buy.
